چکیده

In the well-known Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), a set of identical vehicles, based at a central depot, is to be optimally routed to supply customers with known demands subject to vehicle capacity constraints. An important variant of the VRP arises when a fleet of vehicles characterized by different capacities and costs, is available for distribution activities. The problem is known as the Mixed Fleet VRP or as the Heterogeneous Fleet VRP. This paper gives an overview of approaches from the literature to solve heterogeneous VRPs. In particular, we classify the different variants described in the literature and, as no exact algorithm has been presented for any variants of heterogeneous VRP, we review the lower bounds and the heuristic algorithms proposed. Computational results, comparing the performance of the different heuristic algorithms on benchmark instances, are also discussed.

A Mixed Integer Programming Formulation for the Heterogeneous Fixed Fleet Open Vehicle Routing Problem

The heterogeneous fixed fleet open vehicle routing problem (HFFOVRP) is one of the most significant extension problems of the open vehicle routing problem (OVRP). The HFFOVRP is the problem of designing collection routes to a number of predefined nodes by a fixed fleet number of vehicles with various capacities and related costs. In this problem, the vehicle doesn’t return to the depot after se...

A Comparison of NSGA II and MOSA for Solving Multi-depots Time-dependent Vehicle Routing Problem with Heterogeneous Fleet

Time-dependent Vehicle Routing Problem is one of the most applicable but least-studied variants of routing and scheduling problems. In this paper, a novel mathematical formulation of time-dependent vehicle routing problems with heterogeneous fleet, hard time widows and multiple depots, is proposed. To deal with the traffic congestions, we also considered that the vehicles are not forced to come...

A new mathematical model for the closed-loop supply chains considering pricing for product, a fleet of heterogeneous vehicles, and inventory costs

Mathematical models have been used in many areas of supply chain management. In this paper, we present a mixed-integer non-linear programing (MINLP) model to solve a multi-period, closed-loop supply chains (CLSCs) with two echelons consist of producers and customers. In order to satisfy the demands, the producers are be able to order for materials in the beginning of each period for one or more...

An efficient Imperialistic Competitive Algorithm for the closed-loop supply chains considering pricing for product, and fleet of heterogeneous vehicles

This paper investigates a pricing multi-period, closed-loop supply chains (CLSCs) with two echelons of producers and customers. Products are delivered to customers might be defective which are picked up and gathered in the collection center and will be fixed if it is possible and will be returned to the chain. Otherwise, they are sold as waste. This problem is determining price and distributio...

A green vehicle routing problem with customer satisfaction criteria

This paper develops an MILP model, named Satisfactory-Green Vehicle Routing Problem. It consists of routing a heterogeneous fleet of vehicles in order to serve a set of customers within predefined time windows. In this model in addition to the traditional objective of the VRP, both the pollution and customers’ satisfaction have been taken into account. Meanwhile, the introduced model prepares a...

Multi-objective routing and scheduling for relief distribution with split delivery in post-disaster response

Following the occurrence of unexpected events and natural disasters, a highly important relief operation is the transferring of relief commodities from the distribution centers (CDs) to shelters. In this paper, a three-level network consisting of depot of vehicles, distribution centers and shelters has been considered for routing and scheduling of relief vehicles through introducing a multi-obj...
